Safety & Community Guidelines
Keep ChatIndia safe for everyone
ChatIndia connects adults for casual, interest-based conversation. Everyone here is responsible for treating other people with respect. The rules below are non-negotiable.
Zero-tolerance policy
- Any sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited. Reports of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or grooming are escalated to law enforcement and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, or targeted abuse.
- No sexual exploitation, coercion, blackmail, or non-consensual content.
- No impersonation, scams, or solicitation.
- You must be 18 or older to use ChatIndia.
How to report abuse
- While in a chat, tap the always-visible Report button on the video panel. This immediately ends the chat and sends the report to our moderation team.
- Use the Block button to prevent the same person from being matched with you again on this device.
- For urgent safety issues — especially anything involving a minor — email safety@chatindia.online with any details you can share.
- Reports involving suspected child exploitation are escalated to law enforcement and to NCMEC's CyberTipline.
Chat safety tips
- Don't share personal information — full name, address, phone number, workplace, or school.
- Don't share your social media, email, or payment details with strangers.
- Never send money, gift cards, or crypto — no matter what story you're told.
- Don't send photos or videos you wouldn't want to be public.
- Trust your instincts. If something feels off, tap End Chat and Report.
Consequences
Users who violate these guidelines may be banned from the platform without notice. Serious violations are referred to the appropriate authorities. We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement.
